Woodhall Community Centre, Hertfordshire

Woodhall Community Centre is located in the Peartree district of Welwyn Garden City and has been a community resource since 1938.   A major refurbishment was undertaken to improve the quality of facilities and access for disabled people.

 

Introduction
The Centre offers a choice of meeting rooms for hire that can be structured to cater for a wide range of functions, including use by the community.  The centre boasts a large hall with a high ceiling that can accomodate at least two hundred people.  The Centre is also home to an internet café run by members of the local community and is open to the public on a daily basis.  

The Centre is designed on an inclusive basis with full accessibility for disabled people.

Our Aims
To provide an inclusive environment, and activities that will stimulate and support young, elderly and disabled people in fulfilling their potential in a positive and creative manner.

To increase people's involvement in their local community by providing a wide range of activities and facilities.

To create opportunities for integration between disabled and non-disabled people.

To help combat the isolation and lonliness many older people experience.
