Supported Living Services
Supported Living Services consist of housing support, care at home and provide individually tailored support packages that enable people with special care needs, including people with learning disbilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues and elderly people, to live in their own or family home.
Introduction
The needs of the person using the service are paramount in the design and delivery of the support. Each package is developed on an individually assessed basis and can range from one or two hours a week to 24-hours a day.

The Supported Living Service in East Renfrewshire, Scotland currently supports adults with physical and learning disabilities.
Support provided by staff teams includes help with:
Living Skills
Cooking and cleaning, shopping, laundry, gardening, rights and responsibilities.
Community Living
Finding out about services near their home, accessing social and community activities and advocacy support.
Money
Paying bills and rent, budgeting and savingand claiming and collecting benefits.
Personal care can also be provided, which is assessed on an individual basis.
Support Team
Committed and appropriately trained staffand Brothers of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God.
Cost
Each person's package is costed seperately and the cost is based on their assessed need. A full costing is provided prior to any decision on the provision of any services.

To provide a high quality service based on the needs and wishes of each individual with particular emphasis on promoting independence and encouraging choice.
To support ansd encourage each person to develop social and living skills, and enable them to play as full a part in the local community as they wish.
To enable each person using the service to achieve as high a level of personal fulfilment as possible.
